Clara May Smith, 92, of Steubenville, Ohio died Saturday, May 27, 2006, at Park Village Health Care Center, Dover, Ohio. She was born July 23, 1913 in Follansbee, WV the daughter of the late Lawrence and Mary Brown Neumeyer. Clara May was retired from Indian Creek School District having taught at Hills School. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and Daughters of Scotia. Preceding Clara May in death were her husband George Willis Smith; son George W. “Billy” Smith II; and three brothers Charles, Lawrence & Vincent William Neumeyer. Surviving are her son Rev. Frederick C. (Donna) Smith of St. Petersburg, FL; two grandsons Major Stephen F. (Karla) Smith of Oklahoma City, OK and Matthew A. Smith, Esquire of Tampa, FL; and two great granddaughters Abigail & Allison Smith. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville, Ohio on Friday 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Bethel Bateson officiating.
