Christopher S. “Chris” DeCesare 76 of Wintersville, OH died Tuesday evening at Boyers Personal Care Home, Paris, PA. He was born in Steubenville on February 5, 1928 a son of the late Vincent and Jennie Quattrone DeCesare. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Wintersville, Mingo Knights of Columbus, Wintersville Area Board of Social Activities. He was also a Doctor of Divinity and a magician. U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. Chris was retired from Starvaggi Industries, Weirton, where he was a parts manager and shop superintendent. He was preceded in death by his wife Gloria Doris White DeCesare, whom he married on July 26, 1952, brothers Frank and John DeCesare, sisters Mary, Anna Marie and Teresa DeCesare. Surviving are his daughters Denise Martin and Janine (Robert) Gale of Wintersville, Vicki (Larry) Gaston of Weirton and Kelly (Steve) Konstan of Van Nuys, CA, grandchildren Marci, Barry and Fallon. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9p.m. Funeral liturgy with Mass with be held on Saturday at 9:30a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Msgr. Gerald Calovini officiating. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Steubenville. Vigil services Friday 8:45p.m. Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad will conduct services at cemetery.
