Obituary For Charles Robert Hartline

Charles Robert Hartline, 78, of Wintersville, Ohio, peacefully passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on February 10, 2026. Charles was born on December 4, 1947, in East Liverpool, Ohio, a son of the late Charles J. & Ruth Russell Hartline. Charles proudly served in the US Army before spending many years working for the Weirton Steel Corporation. He was always all about his family and showed this by being a hard worker who kept a smile on his face.

Charles is preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Della Mae Hartline, on February 2, 2026 and brother Bruce Hartline. He is survived by his children Terry (Gary) Travis, Lisa Toepher & James (Ann) McEndree; grandchildren Amanda (William) Johnson, Tabatha (Tyler) Firlik, Michael (Courtney) Hager as well as four additional grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren Brayden, Bryce, Hassan, Adonis, Silas, Caitlyn & Mila Mae and seven additional great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild Kinsleigh and siblings Carl Hartline, Janet Ferron & Kathy Ray.

Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio, on Thursday from 10 am until the time of services at 12 pm with Rev. William Westling officiating. Burial with Military honors at Union Cemetery.

    Dear, Cathy,Janet and Carl, I'm heart broken that chas has passed.I was just talking to him the other day. I have many fond memories of chas when I was a kid him coming to our house and playing Santa claus. My favorite memories were after I would have surgeries on my legs and was stuck in the house chas would spend many hours playing games with me. I will definitely miss him.     Chas would come and stay with us at times when Mom and Daddy were working one night he was scrubbing the floor talked the person back to the door and srubbed him right out the door it was always so much fun when he was around , I'm so sorry to hear this he will be with his wife now although he will be missed.
