Charles "Ray" Stewart, 79, of Steubenville, Ohio died Wednesday, February 02, 2011 at Carriage Inn of Steubenville.  He was born September 4, 1931 in New Cumberland, WV a son of the late Virgil and Mary Karkoska Stewart, Sr.  Charles was a good worker and loved dogs.  He loved his family and was a good husband, brother and uncle.  Charles was preceded in death by his 1st wife Jeral Freshwater Stewart; brother Virgil Stewart, Jr. and sister Janet Calhoun.   Surviving are his wife Rose Marie (Rogers) Stewart; brother Robert (Billie) Stewart of Beaver Creek, OH; two sisters Donna “MeMe” (Tom) Miller of Kapolei, HI and Mildred “Millie” Huggins of Mingo Junction, OH; sister-in-law Mildred G. Stewart of Mingo Junction, OH and many nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.   Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Friday 6 – 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 1:15 p.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. with Pastor Tommy Mills  officiating.  Burial at Fort Steuben where Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad will perform military honors.
