Attorney Charles L. Snyder Jr. 83 of Steubenville, OH died Friday, April 11, 2003 at his residence of natural causes. Attorney Snyder was born on November 3, 1919 in Steubenville and was the son of the late Charles L. and Elsie Schmidt Snyder. Also preceded in death was his first wife Edna Clouse Snyder in January 1985. He graduated from Steubenville High School and Ohio State University Law School, practicing law in the Steubenville area for forty years, retiring in 1989. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Army and held membership in Steubenville Elks Lodge #231. Attorney Snyder is survived by his wife Mary I. Snyder at home; son, Charles Snyder III and his wife Margaret of Adamstown, Maryland; two grandsons, Charles IV and Daniel Snyder, both of Columbus, OH. Friends may call at the Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood, Road, Wintersville, on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Msgr. George Yontz officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery, Steubenville. Elks service Monday 7 p.m.
