Charles L. “Chuck” Bowers 81 of Steubenville died Saturday, June 19, 2004 at Carriage Inn of Steubenville. He was born in Steubenville, OH on October, 27, 1922 the son of the late Charles E. and Ruth Moore Bowers. Preceded in death by his wife Ida Floto Bowers on November 28, 1981. Chuck was owner-operator of the former Bowers Furniture Galleries of Steubenville. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps during W.W. II and held church membership at Zion United Church of Christ of Steubenville. Graduated from Steubenville High School and Miami University and was a member of Steubenville Country Club. Survived by two sons, Bruce (his wife Donna) Bowers of Wintersville and Brian Bowers of Steubenville. Four Grandchildren and One Great Granddaughter and a sister, Betty Williams of Steubenville. Friends may call at the Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Tuesday from 9 a.m. till the time of funeral services at 11a.m. Rev. Thomas Bullard to officiate.
