Obituary For Charles J. "Jim" Gump

Charles J. “Jim” Gump, 72, of Bloomingdale, Ohio passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Select Specialty Hospital in Akron, Ohio. He was born November 20, 1947 the son of the late James “Ralph” and Garnet Vincent Gump. Jim was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army serving his country in Vietnam. He was employed as a mechanic with the Indian Creek School District.

Preceding Jim in death were his wife Joyce E. Watt Gump; infant daughter Teresa Renee and sister Linda Thompson.

Jim is survived by his daughter Suzan (Paul) Corder, Jr.; son William “Bill” (Barb) Gump; 7 grandchildren Mitchell (Alexis) June, Dylan (Tiffany) June, Rachael (Matt) Hawk, Lacie Gump, Millie Corder, Logan & Lance Gump; and 6 great grandchildren.

Private Family services.

Masks are absolutely required.

    I went to Wayne HS with Jim. He was a really good man. I was friends with Jim and his two sisters, especially his sister Linda. His parents were really great people and were very kind to my parents. He will be missed by all of his family and also by his friends. Condolences to his family.
