Charles J. Lash, Jr., 87, of Bloomingdale, Ohio passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Valley Hospice with his loving family at his side following a brief illness. Born August 4, 1934 in Steubenville, Ohio, he was the son of the late Charles J. Lash and Jennie Alexander Lash Leone. Also preceding Charles in death were his wife Shirley J. Lash; son Charles J. Lash III; and sisters Barbara McCartney and Lillian Ensign.
Charles was the owner of Lash Plumbing & Heating.
He is survived by his son Richard J. (Diana) Lash of Wintersville; grandson Brandon (Jackie) Lash of Imperial, PA; three great granddaughters Carlee, Adalyn and Josie Lash; and special niece Kelly (Terry) Zelek.
In respecting Charles’ wishes, there will be no visitation.
The family would like to thank the staff of Dixon Nursing Home for their care during these past four months and for the support and kindness of Valley Hospice.
Memorial contributions may be made to Valley Hospice or the Alzheimer’s/Dementia Association.

Im very sorry for your loss. I believe we were related in some way? I remember reunions at Sally Buffalo park with my Grandparents Newell Smith and Grace and I remember them being there this was probably in the 70s. My grandparents lived in Steubenville and my parents Newell and Norma Smith lived in Toronto. Aunt Elsie and Harry Dodds lived in Bloomingdale and my cousin Nancy Simeral (spelling?).
