Fred is survived by his wife Marge Blankenship Menzel; sister Janette (Jack) Carter; children Fred (Denise) Menzel, Mike (Karen) Menzel, Monica (Darrell) Flocken, Maureen Menzel, Chuck (Terri) Menzel, Marilyn (Tom) McCabe and Dan (Miette) Menzel; grandchildren Kristen (Mike) Ward, Michelle (Andy) Phillips, Kristen (Len) Gagliardi, Gina (Kyle) Bigler, Joshua (Stephanie) Menzel, Charles (Beth) Menzel, Marissa Luke, Mandi (Tyler) Altier, Jeremy (Mandy) Menzel, Erin (Marley) Burkhart, Mallory (Alex) Hamilton, Tyler (Leslie) Flocken, Megan McCabe, Maura McCabe, Melissa McCabe, Alexa Menzel, Zander Menzel; 19 great-grandchildren.

I worked for Fred a while in Steubenville. He was also my instructor at the phone company switch school. Fred is a good man and I liked him. So sorry for your loss!

Fred was more than a brother-in-law to us. He was a model of a family man, a mentor in many ways: carpentry, wood working and gardening to name a few, a traveling companion, and a friend.Mary Frances and I fondly recall one trip we took through Virginia and the Carolinas in Uncle Carl's borrowed new Ford Thunderbird. And then the Canadian fishing trip where more pinochle games were played than casting of lines, and of course the kids (how many and ages didn't matter) came along. There was always room for one more! Fred, Enjoy your final trip and may the good Lord keep you in His care.Steve and Mary Frances ◦
