Obituary For Charles Findlay

Charles “Chuck” Findlay, Jr. 76 of Wintersville, OH died Saturday, December 13, 2003 at The Carriage Inn, Steubenville. He was born in Compton, VA on July 4, 1927 a son of the late Charles and Carrie Deavers Findlay, Sr. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII, and had been a member of the former Jefferson County Model Airplane Club. Chuck was retired from Weir-Cove Moving & Storage, where he was a truck driver. He was preceded in death by a daughter Marjorie A. Lott, brother Thomas “Buster” Findlay, granddaughters Nancy Findlay and Caitlyn Jacobs. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Ethel B. McGrew Findlay, sons Charles E. “Ed” Findlay and George J. “Joe” Findlay, both of Wintersville, brothers Walter J. “John” (Joann) Findlay of Wintersville, Richard “Dick” (Signa) of Steubenville, Roger B. (Jan) Findlay of Kissimmee, FL and Marion “Huck” (Terri) Findlay of Toronto, OH, sisters Francis “Liz” Bentley, Orabelle (Paul) Grimm, both of Toronto, OH and Mary “Jean“ (Frances) McClelland of Hubbard, OH, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville on Tuesday from 6-8p.m. (ONLY), where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11a.m. with Rev. Delbert Lash officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville.
