Charles F. “Chuck” Baker, 56, of Wintersville died Wednesday, February 25, 2009. He was born in Steubenville on October 13, 1952 a son of the late Charles E. and Betty Lou Monigold Baker. Chuck was a driver for D. W. Dickey and Son, Steubenville and was also a longtime employee of Crummitt and Son Vault Company, Martins Ferry, OH (formerly Jefferson County Burial Vault Company). He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of American Legion Post 557. Chuck is survived by his sister Bonnie Baker and her husband Stephan Kliner of Steubenville; brother Gary (Debra) Baker of Bloomingdale and niece Misty (James) Monroe of Steubenville. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Sunday 1p.m. until time of service at 4p.m. with Dr. Rev. John Beard officiating.

He was a dedicated and faithful employee when we owned the Jefferson County Burial Vault Co. and continued as such until he moved on to different work a few years ago.
