Charles E. “Chuck” Spencer, 87, of Steubenville died Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Trinity Skilled Care. He was born in Weirton, WV on March 12, 1926 a son of the late Clifford and Luella Robinson Spencer. Chuck was retired from National Steel as a crane repairman and was a US Navy veteran of WWII. He was a member of First Westminster Presbyterian Church, American Legion Post 33 Steubenville, 25 year Weirton Steel Club and was a member and past president of Toronto Rod and Gun Club. In addition to his parents Chuck was preceded in death by his wife Irene M. Phillips Spencer; He is survived by his daughter Sandy (Edward) Chanoski of Steubenville; sons Charles C. (Brenda) Spencer of Hammondsville, OH and Rick (Donna) Spencer of Cambridge, OH; sisters Helen Williamson of Mingo Junction, Doris (Robert) Carey of South Carolina; brothers Clifford and Stanley Spencer both of Toronto, OH and Phillip (Joyce) Spencer of Wintersville; 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Friends may call at Shorac Funeral Home (formerly McClave’s), 611 N.4th Street, Steubenville, OH on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8p.m., where funeral services will be held Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 10a.m. Burial at Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Tony Teramana Cancer Center, 3204 Johnson Rd., Steubenville, OH.

to the best dad anyone could have. to a dad who never missed a wrestling match baseball game or football game. my dad and mom were my biggest fans. i could never love anyone more then dad and mom. I will miss both of my parents they TAUGHT me so much about how to be a man and to be what i am today. You both will be missed,. mom passed away 12 years ago on dec 15th and dad on nov 26th of this year. thanks to all who remember my dad and how much he touched us all with his smile and words.
