Charles E. “Chuck” Brandt, 77, of Columbiana, OH formerly of Wintersville, OH died Thursday, July 24, 2014 at his home. He was born in Steubenville, OH on September 1, 1936 a son of the late Bert and Elizabeth Welch Brandt. For forty years Chuck was part owner of the family business, Brandt Motor Company in Steubenville, OH. He served in the US Army and graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. Chuck would do anything for anybody. He was the kind of man that would give you the shirt off his back. Preceding Chuck in death were his wife Alice E. Hill “Toots” Brandt on November 22, 2005 and sister Eileen Ralston Brandt. Surviving are two sons Matthew (Stacy) Brandt of Zanesville, OH and Michael (fiancée Kim Eichenlaub) Brandt of Columbiana, OH; five grandchildren Morgan Brandt of Boardman, OH, Matthew Brandt of Zanesville, OH, Mason Brandt of Zanesville, OH, Jessica Smith of Celina, OH and Kelli Eichenlaub of Columbiana, OH; great grandson Irvin McFarlin of Celina, OH; sister Judith A. Brandt of North Carolina and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Dunlope – Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Friday 6 – 8 p.m. where a service will be held Saturday 10 a.m. with Pastor Gary Mariano officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben.
