Charles E. Cook Sr., 78, of Bloomingdale, OH died Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Trinity West ER. He was born in Martins Ferry, OH on June 25, 1933 a son of the late Jess A. and Clara Wright Cook. Charles was retired from Weirton Steel as a crane operator. He served as a union steward and helped start the former E.S.O.P. program. Also served in the National Guard Reserves. Preceded in death by his daughter Kelly Jo Cook; brothers James Cook, Sr. and Jerry Cook, Sr.; sister Betty Young. Charles is survived by his wife Ella M. Urban Cook; children Charles E. (Brenda) Cook, Jr., Max W. Cook, both of Wintersville, Robin L. (Donald Sr.) Everhart of Bloomingdale and Jesse (Terri) Cook of Wintersville; brothers Jack (Carol) Cook of Alaska, George (Miki) Cook, Sr. of Mingo Junction and Terry (Maryann) Cook of Steubenville; sister-in-law Betty Cook of Mingo Junction; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Friday from 5p.m. until time of services 8p.m. with Rev. Hubert Granger officiating.
