Charles C. Cline 79 of West Jefferson, OH formerly of Wintersville, OH died Thursday, January 3, 2002 at Madison County Hospital, West Jefferson, Ohio. He was born in Washington, PA on October 5, 1922 the son of the late Frances Dice. He was Protestant by faith, and had been a very active member of American Legion Post 557, Wintersville, OH, where he held many offices in the past. He was retired from Weirton Steel, where he worked in the Tin Mill. U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. He was proceeded in death by his wife: Elizabeth L “Liz” Calabrese Cline, on August 31, 2000. He is survived by daughters: Theresa Hofmann and her husband Greg of West Jefferson, OH, Lorraine Cline of Wintersville, OH, Jacqueline Madison and her husband Doug of Steubenville, OH, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Saturday from 7-9 and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 P.M., where Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. David Sperry officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville, OH. Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad will conduct services at the cemetery.
