On Monday, January 17, 2022, Carolyn Lee Goddard Musgrave, formerly of Wintersville, Ohio, passed away peacefully from health complications in Rockville, Maryland. She was seventy-nine years old. Carolyn was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.
Carolyn Goddard Musgrave was the daughter of Albert Leonard Goddard and Mildred Irene Hill Goddard. Carolyn met the love of her life, Kenneth Clough Musgrave, in 1958, and together, they had three children, Susan Musgrave, Kenneth Musgrave, and Debra Fair. She was preceded in death by her husband on January 23, 1994. Carolyn is survived by her caring sister Sandra Kay Goddard, her children Susan, Kenneth, and Debra, six grandchildren John, Kristopher, Sierra, Michelle, Sandy, and Kenny, and seven great-grandchildren Brian, Landon, Evan, Jaxon, Johnathan, Olivia, and Taylor.
Carolyn kept everyone laughing, finding humor in even the most mundane moments. She was known as someone who loved to cook, shop, collect, and travel. She genuinely enjoyed connecting with others, striking up conversations everywhere she went, and always making a lasting impression. Carolyn first worked for the school system as a playground aide before becoming a professional cake decorator. Some of her proudest moments were making wedding cakes for her children.
A celebration of Carolyn’s life will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Rick Dawson officiating. (visitation with family one-half hour prior).
Memorial contributions and expressions of sympathy can be sent to Sandra Kay Goddard c/o Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home at P.O. Box 2250 Wintersville, OH 43953. Donations can also be made to ASPCA in Carolyn’s name as she was an avid lover of animals.
