Carolyn L. McCrum, 90, of Steubenville died Sunday, December 13, 2009 at Lancia Villa Royale. She was born in Finleyville, PA on August 26, 1919 a daughter of the late Frank and Mary Neill Threnhauser. Carolyn was a member of Bell Chapel United Methodist Church, charter member of Pleasant Hill Senior Women’s Club, auxiliary member of Pleasant Hill Volunteer Fire Department and a member of Wayside Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert McCrum; infant sister Mary Elizabeth; brothers John Robert and Frances Threnhauser. Carolyn is survived by her daughters Bonnie (Floyd, Jr.) Moore and Suzanne (David) Rothacker, both of Steubenville; sisters Jean (Robert) Saltsman of Steubenville and Ruth Ann (Michael) Valiga of Weirton, WV; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9p.m., where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10a.m. with Rev. Jeff Proya officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Valley Hospice, 380 Summit Ave., Steubenville, OH 43952.
