Carolyn D. Yaich, 92, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away Thursday, April 7, 2005 at Palliative Care. She was born on November 23, 1912 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Mike and Anna Mandic Mandich. Carolyn was a member of Holy Resurrection Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church. Preceding Carolyn in death were her husband George “Fagan” Yaich whom she married on January 23, 1943 and he died on December 20, 1990; one brother Charles Mandich; and three sisters Pauline Bakich, Mary Yobbagy and Zora Vucelich. Carolyn is survived by three sons George (Mary Lou) Yaich, Jr. of Unionport, Daniel (Carol) Yaich of Wintersville and Michael (Debbie) Yaich of Akron; one daughter Marguerite “Marge” (Richard) Blaine of Wintersville; six grandchildren Kristie Nankivell, Caron Rodgers, Daniel Yaich, Steve Yaich, Jason Yaich, and Jennifer Yaich; and three great grandsons Drew, Nick and Parker. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Sunday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday with Very Rev. Rade Merick officiating.
