Carole J. “Nooks” Montgomery, 69, of Wintersville, Ohio died Monday, September 8, 2014 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. She was born in Hopedale, Ohio on November 21, 1944 a daughter of the late John and Violet Gibbons Wilson. Carole was a member of Brentwood United Methodist Church and its Woman’s Club. She was also a member of Order of Eastern Star. Carole worked as an office manager for 30 years for local doctor offices. Preceding Carole in death was a sister Ruth Brown. Surviving are her husband of 50 years Chuck Montgomery whom she married September 20, 1963; two sons Todd (Lori) Montgomery of Gifford, PA and Eric “Mont” Montgomery of Akron, OH; grandson Aidan Montgomery of Akron, OH; sister Jackie (Don) Soderberg of Farmington, NM and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at Dunlope – Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville Thursday 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 p.m. where a service will be held Friday 10 a.m. with Rev. Bill Westling officiating.
