Carol Masci, 73, went home to Our Lord January 18, 2021, with many of her family by her side at Weirton Medical Center, Weirton, WV.
Ms. Masci lived and worked the majority of her life in Wintersville, OH, and is a proud Golden Warrior graduate of Wintersville High School class of 1966. Carol lived and dedicated her life in service of many. You may have ordered a burger from her at Frosty Treat back in the day while driving down Canton Road, or had a package delivered to your door in her days with UPS, or purchased one of her beautiful craft creations from her at Shaker Woods in Columbiana, OH, or saw her passing by in her van either rescuing an animal, or taking one to emergency care in Pittsburgh.
Carol dedicated her life to the protection, rescue and care of animals. She served on the board of the Jefferson County Humane Society, rescued many animals in need due to mistreatment or in need of a home, and tirelessly supported their needs. If you treated an animal well, you were on Carol’s good side which was a good place to be. She touched all of our hearts with love, devotion, dedication, passion, and spirit. She is a true Buckeye and loved watching them every time they took the field.
Ms. Carol Ann Masci was born June 28, 1948 in Canton, OH, and is the daughter of and survived by, Leonard and Gertrude Masci of Wintersville, OH. She is also survived by her brother Len Masci and his 4 children and 2 grandchildren; her brother Terry Masci and his wife Robin, and their 8 children and 13 grandchildren; her sister Barbara Masci Finnin and her husband Mark, and their 7 children and 4 grandchildren, her 4 legged children, and the 6 priceless gems of the family, Pam and Keith Hilliard, Di and Steve Lorenzi, Stef Lynn, and Sandy Runco who have lovingly dedicated their lives over the past several years tirelessly 24/7 in support of Carol and her 6 year battle with multiple myeloma.
Carol is greatly missed but her strength, determination, never ever give up attitude, love, devotion, and Christian faith is a beacon and guiding light that lives on in all who know her.
Due to Covid, there will not be a public viewing or gathering. Any donations in her name can be sent to the Jefferson County Humane Society. There will be a celebration of Carol at a future date to be determined.

I could write a book 😂 I often felt that she only drug me along so she could throw me in front of danger so she could escape.. 😳 but 1 time she made me go with her to save a dog. Really nice dog.. 🤨 Reluctantly I drove her., at the time my passenger door was broke and had to be opened from inside. It was summer. We get there and this 90 lb dog was all wiggle butt. On his chain. The owner went inside to get his leash...at that point Cujo turned and looked at me as if I were wild game 🐓.. he lunged at me thankfully the chain ( just before snapping) slowed him. He was within inches of my face.I whipped around took off leaving my partner in the dust, I literally dove into the window and began rolling up the windows, as my partner was hauling butt screaming at me with Cujo hot on her tail...I opened the door an got her in! We sat there with Cujo clawing at the windows trying to get his prey 🍗.. finally the owner came and got Mr Wiggle butt...the owner decided she would keep him!!! We spent may times laughing abt that!! I will miss my girl ❤️But I have soo many funny memories to keep her with me ❤️❤️❤️😘

Although Carol and I did not see each other often, each time we did was like we saw each other yesterday. Rest In Peace till we meet again!
