Carol M. Hoover, 76, of Wintersville, Ohio died Friday, June 29, 2012 at Valley Hospice North. She was born in Steubenville on July 13, 1935 a daughter of the late John and Velva Weaver Smith. Carol was the former owner/operator of the BP service station in Wellsburg, WV. She was a 1953 graduate of Steubenville High School. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William D. “Bill” Hoover, Sr.; sister Marilyn Uselton. Carol is survived by her daughter Joyce (Larry) Fithen and her son William D. “Bill” Hoover, Jr. both of Steubenville; brother John Smith of Steubenville; sister Clara Hoover of Arlington, TX; grandchildren Sharlene Hoover, Tina Hoover, Deann (Matt) Fithen Eliser and Wesley Fithen; great grandchildren Montana and Reece Eliser. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Tuesday from 9a.m. until time of service 10a.m. Burial at Fort Steuben Burial Estates.
