Obituary For Carol J. Armstrong

Carol J. Armstrong, age 75, of Bloomingdale, Ohio passed away Monday, January 20, 2014.  Carol was born April 13, 1938 in Steubenville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Walter Wasson and Wilma George Wasson Thomas.  She was a homemaker and crafter.  Carol loved tole painting and making various crafts. She owned and operated her own craft business, The Country Cupboard, for several years.  She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years Robert C.   Armstrong at home, whom she married on  August 18, 1956,  daughter Cindy (Robert) Arnold of Wintersville, son Rick (Linda) Armstrong of Bloomingdale; sister Bonnie Stump of Wintersville; six grandchildren,  Robbie Ferguson (fiancée Kayla Paice) of Richmond, Brad Armstrong (companion Karley Scheurmann) of Alaska, Hannah Armstrong and Jason Tracey of Bloomingdale, Joshua (Amanda) Tracey of Steubenville and Jessica Tracey (fiancé Paul DiBiase) of Steubenville; three great grandchildren Kylie Ferguson, Lily DiBiase and Isabella Tracey.Private family funeral services will be held at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville, on Thursday with Rev. Dean Blythe officiating.  Burial at Fort Steuben.  Memorial contributions may be directed to the   American Lung Association.

    I am so sorry to read about Carol. We lived kinda' close when we were young. I have great memories of going to Carol's house. I also remember having my 1st chocolate coke at her house.There are lots of fun time that I had forgotten about. The memories will be with me forever! Gaye
