Obituary For Carl H. Bonecutter, Sr.

Carl H. Bonecutter, Sr., 84, of Bloomingdale, Ohio passed away at his residence on August 21, 2025. He was born in Steubenville on December 22, 1940 the son of the late Richard & Dorothy Matthews Bonecutter.

Carl founded Bonecutter Drilling in 1958 and Boney’s in 1987, where he enjoyed talking with his customers.

Carl was preceded in death by his two sons David H. and Jeffrey H. Bonecutter.

Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Antoinette Romano Bonecutter; sons Carl (Robin) II and Dominick (Angela); daughter-in-law Gretchen; five grandchildren Isabelle (Anthony), Miranda (Tim Newburn), Carl H. III (Lani), Casey (Brian Tibbs) & Levi; four great grandchildren Ethan, Teegan, Aubrey & Ryder; and good friend Ronnie Brownlee.

Private services and burial at Unionport Cemetery.

    So sorry for your loss. What a great man Carl was. Learn some tricks from the ole fart over there yrs. Probably had many a ass chewings too when needed. Lol. God bless the family.

    Always so sweet to me. Sometimes would even let me in the pool for free when they ran it out Bloomingdale and I would walk there from home (out old Seminary Road). Rest easy. Sorry for your loss Carl & Dominic. Rebecca (from high school days)

    Sorry to hear of Carl's death. He and his family were faithful parishioners at St. Thomas Moore Parish in Bloomingdale when I was stationed there in the late 70's. Will keep Carl and his family in my prayers. May the Lord welcome him into His Kingdom. Msgr. Patrick Gaughan
