Bridgette Ann (Kenefick) (Osz) Douglas, 50, of Steubenville, OH passed away on April 20, 2014. She was born in Steubenville, OH March 4, 1964 the daughter of the late Michael P. Kenefick Sr. and the late Marilyn J. (Smith) Kenefick Uselton. She is survived by her loving husband, David C. Douglas of Canton, OH; daughter, Joanna Osz of Pittsburgh, PA; sons, Michael Osz of Steubenville, OH and Nathan (Danielle) Osz of Wintersville, OH; one granddaughter, Jade Miller of Pittsburgh, PA and siblings Rena (Jerry) Peffer of Alliance, OH, Michael P. (Sara) Kenefick Jr. of Hilliard, OH, Tricia (Frank) Marino of Claypool, IN and Ronald (Christy) Kenefick of Galena, OH. Bridgette graduated from Wintersville High School in 1982. She obtained her associates degree in criminal justice in 1997. She was retired from the Jefferson County Juvenile Detention Center. She had a passion for genealogy, history and loved to travel. Bridgette also was a life-long member of the Jefferson County Historical Society. She will always be remembered for her hard work and passion for genealogy. She stressed the importance of knowing our ancestry and family. She will be fondly remembered for making certain that there were always photos taken at any family gathering. Friends may call at Dunlope – Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. with Rev. Randy Sells officiating. Burial at Cross Creek Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to the Jefferson County Historical Society.
