Bonnie Lee (Amos) Ware, 71 of Wintersville, OH passed away at WVU Medicine/Weirton Medical Center, Weirton, WV on Friday, July 18, 2025. While Bonnie’s health challenged her relentlessly for years, she faced each day with a courageous spirit and sense of humor that never faded.

Bonnie was born (along with her twin brother, William “Bill”) on March 18, 1954, in Weirton, WV. She was the daughter of the late Robert Franklin “Bob” Amos and the late Bernice Leah (Jackson) Amos.

Bonnie was a 1972 graduate of Brooke High School. She retired from the Brooke County Sheriff’s Office where she was a Dispatcher for several years. Bonnie most recently volunteered for five years with Valley Hospice of Steubenville, OH where she would assist in the office and visit patients. Bonnie enjoyed the friendships she built with the staff and patients until her own decline in health intervened.
