Beverly J. Pitts, 76, of Steubenville formerly of Adena, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Trinity East. She was born September 19, 1939 in Memphis, TN a daughter of the late Elbert and Maude Martz. Beverly was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Preceding Beverly in death were her husband Oscar “Pepper” Pitts; four brothers Richard, Marshall, Donald and Sam and four sisters Alice, Betty, Bonnie and Patricia. Surviving are two daughters Alice Pitts of Steubenville, OH, and Bonnie Anz of Lakeland, FL; son Samuel (Stacey) Monroe of Sarasota, FL; 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Friends may call at Dunlope – Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville Saturday 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 p.m. where a service will be held Sunday 2 p.m. with Rev. Bill Westling officiating. Burial at Holly Memorial Gardens.
