Beverly I. Hoenig, 72, of Wintersville, Ohio died Wednesday, November 2, 2005 at Valley Hospice Palliative Care Unit. She was born in Fernwood, Ohio on August 14, 1933 a daughter of the late Harley and Cleo May Scott Thomas. Preceding Beverly in death were her brother Calvert Thomas; sister Margaret Cagot; husbands Carl J. Trigg and Philip E. Hoenig; granddaughter Ashley Nicole Trigg and canine companions Yogi and Mutley. Beverly is survived by her children Sandy (Charlie) Lynch of Richmond, Ohio; Tim Trigg of Wintersville, Carl Trigg of Bloomingdale and Diane Leadmon of Glasgow, WV; brother Donald Thomas of Santa Barbara, CA; grandchildren Heather “Winky” (Tony) Merced, Jessica Ann “Peanut” Trigg, Presley Erin “Scooter” Cupp, Sonia, Jeff, KayKay and Justin Leadmon, Shannon Garay and Heather Lynch; and great grandchildren A.J. “Coop” Merced, T.J., Mary and Torin Garay, and Rachel and Katie Tretow. Beverly’s doors to her heart and home were always open. Seems like “Mom” went through life sharing her love and expanding her family of kids every time you turned around. Jack, Ernie & Joyce, Marcie, Janet, Jackie, Cheryl, Deb, Tye and Lisa and Jimmie, Sue, Bob and “little” Charlie all had the privilege of calling her Mom. Bev’s compassion for others was boundless. Her need to care for and nurture others drove her to begin a career in Nursing. She practiced her chosen profession at Carriage Inn of Steubenville, and managed to find ways to care for those around her, even in her final days. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday with Msgr. Gerald E. Calovini officiating.
