Betty M. Blaine, 87, of Wintersville, Ohio died Sunday, March 27, 2005 at Trinity West. She was born in Jofree, PA on March 12, 1918 a daughter of the late William and Sarah Jane Blair Phillips. Betty was a member of Two Ridges Presbyterian Church and Steubenville Art Association. She was a retired schoolteacher from the Hanover Township and Burgettstown Area School District and an alumnus of Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Betty also volunteered as a Scout Den Mother for five years and as a reading teacher 3 days a week for five years in the Host Mentoring Program at Buchanan Junior High School. Preceding Betty in death were her husband Frank L. Blaine on July 16, 1990 and one brother Ray Phillips. Betty is survived by her son Richard (Marge) Blaine of Wintersville; daughter Nancy (Ronald) Riggle of Moon Township, PA; six grandchildren Brian Riggle, Kristie Nankivell, Philip Riggle, Beth Venuti, Caron Rodgers and Megan Gardner; eleven great grandchildren and one sister Jeanne Evans of Whitehall, PA. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Wendy Norris officiating. Burial at Grandview Cemetery, Florence, PA Memorial contributions may be made to Two Ridges U.P. Church
