Betty was a good friend to my mom & dad and always so sweet and fun to be around. We always enjoyed her company on visits to the Villages and I know she will be missed by many. As sad and painful as it is to lose a loved one, there is some comfort in knowing that she is no longer in pain. Our deepest condolences go out to Betty's family, friends and loved ones. With sympathy, Lisa, Jeff & Lauren

I am afraid that my card to Betty did not arrive in time. I will always remember her kind and understanding manner. In all the years I worked with her, ( I came to LCHS in 1971) I never once heard her raise her voice. Rather she calmly dealt with teachers, students, parents and administrators with the utmost respect and consideration. The world has lost a classy lady.

In sympathy with the family of Betty LaPlante. Somewhere a journey begins at the end of a worldly existence we know. Somewhere a path stretches over the stars, and rivers of memories flow... Somewhere a silence is heard far away and the brightness of day fills the night. Where the trials of life are resolved into peace...when a soul finds its way to the light. And throughout this difficult time, we would like to offer our deepest sympathy and concern to the family at this time.

Our deepest sympathy to Betty's sisters and brothers. We attended the Belle Aire Social Club, in The Villages with Betty. She had just spent Super Bowl Sunday at our home. Betty was such a caring, soft spoken, lovely lady. She will surely be missed.

My deepest sympathy to Betty's family. I played golf with Betty many times. I found her to be the sweetest, kindest and easiest going person anyone could ever ask to meet. I will miss her smiling face and friendly smile and eyes.

Betty, was a wonderful role model for the teaching staff and students as she was a very gracious, kind, and compassionate lady. Also, she brought much joy to the school environment and we will always treasure those joyful moments. We feel blessed that Betty touched both of us with her friendship. To the family of Betty LaPlante I send my sympathy to all of you on the loss of a wonderful sister. Betty and I worked together many years, she at one high school and me in another, but we were able to keep our friendship in tact, even when she moved to Florida with Ralph. Her death was shocking in its brevity, and I mourn her passing. I and my family offer prayers for her great spirit. Sincerely, Elaine Muzi
