Betty J. Lacher, 92, of Steubenville, Ohio died Friday, June 28, 2019 at the Laurels in Steubenville. She was born November 1, 1926 in Limaville, Ohio the daughter of the late John W. and Viola G. Miller Rhoads. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Norman on May 9, 2001 and were married on November 16, 1946; a granddaughter Lindsay Beth Isham and siblings Shyrl, Donald, Glenn and Dale Rhoads, Eleanor Burden and Bernice Combs. Betty was a Methodist by faith and loved working in her flower beds and bird watching, painting duck decoys and traveling with her husband Norman. She is survived by her daughters Linda (Paul) Dick of Wardensville, WV, Norma (Dale) Grimm of Wellington, FL, Debbie (Brian) Isham of Mt. Vernon, IN, and Kathy (Ron) Stinard of Wintersville, Ohio; grandchildren Kevin Stinard, Scott (Laura) Stinard, Michael (Shaina) Stinard, Jason (Elysia) Isham, Eric (Barbara) Stinard and Ashley (Buddy) Barnett; and nine great grandchildren. Per Betty’s request, private services were held at the Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio with Rev. Dr. Clint Quillen officiating. Private burial followed at Fort Steuben Burial Estates.
