Betty J. Davis, 81, of Edgewater, FL formerly of Wintersville, Ohio passed away Monday September 25, 2006 at her daughter’s home in Winter Springs, FL. Betty was born September 6, 1925 in Steubenville, OH a daughter of the late Charles A. “Spade” and Maybelle Moyers Thomas. She was registered nurse for Weirton Steel, a member of Labelle Chapter 414 Order of the Eastern Star, Edgewater Quilters Guild and Wintersville Church of Christ. Betty is preceded in death by her husband Robert “Dub” Davis and brother Donald W. Thomas. Surviving are daughter Gail (Doc) Davis-Aleshire of Winter Springs, Fl; son Robert Thomas (Roseann) Davis of Wintersville, OH; three grandchildren Kelly Twiggs of Oviedo, FL, Brittany Boyce of Greensboro, NC, and Robert Anthony Davis of Wintersville, OH; three great grandchildren; and aunt Dorothy Monbarren of Navarre, OH. Friends may call at Dunlope - Shorac Funeral Home 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville on Friday 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 p.m. where services will be held Saturday 10 a.m. with Rev. Vickie Thomas-Bossuot officiating.
