Dear Karen and family, My parents, Bill and Dottie Bailie, were friends of your parents. My dad and your dad woked on that time study program together at the mill and the 2 couples ran together a little. My parents didn't do a lot of "running" because Dad usually worked nights. The more interesting thing here is that my aunt is in Delmar Gardens in Overland Park. (Mildred or Midge Stephens). We stopped to see her in October. How I wish I'd known your mother was there. I'd said hi. She wouldn't know me, but it'd be a touch of Stebenville. My sympathy to your family.

Dear Karen and Family, Please accept the deepest of condolences from all of our family. My mom and all of our family are so saddened by the news and send all of our prayers to you. Betty was a wonderful neighbor for many, many years. She always brought over a smile and homemade goodies, and she sure did make the world's best peanut butter pie! She really was a nice and caring neighbor and friend, and she will always be remembered and missed. Sincerely, Ann Knowles, Emory, George, Kenny and Patty

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time. Betty was an inspiration to us. She was the reason I began attending LaBelle View U.M. Church. She came to my home not long after we moved to Steubenville and asked if I would consider attending there. She always made me feel welcome and a part of the church. I missed her when the church closed and we went to different churches after that. Barb&Jerry Randalson

Janine, Brian, and Karen, I am so sorry to hear of Betty's passing in the Columbus Dispatch. She was such an inspiration to me and was the reason I began singing. What a beautiful voice she had! I know my dad, Walt Owens, always enjoyed the LaBelle Methodist services when she sang "How Great Thou Art". No one could sing it as well as Betty! My condolences to you all, Lois

Dear Karen, Janine and Brian, Your mother was just the most wonderful, talented and special lady ever! Always a smile and a good word to say everytime you talked to her. I loved how she and my Aunt Doll would be singing their favorite church hymns, while Aunt Doll was grooming one of the lassies! Heaven has been enriched by her presence and that beautiful voice. May God send you an Angel of Comfort for your hurting hearts and homes. Wish I could be there to give you a big hug, but know I'm sending my heartfelt thoughts and prayers. Love and Miss You always....your old friends have never forgotten you or your many acts of kindness. ^i^ ^i^
