Betty A. Cowher, 62, of Wintersville, Ohio died Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at home. She was born January 15, 1948 in Steubenville, Ohio a daughter of the late Julius and Mary Molnar Kardos. Betty was a member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church. Preceding Betty in death were her son Clinton R. Cowher and brother Julius Kardos, Jr. Surviving are her husband Robert A. Cowher; daughter Julie A. Cowher of Columbus, OH; brother John (Margaret “Peg”) Kardos of Wintersville, OH; two sisters-in-law Pamela (John) Cucarese of Wintersville, OH and Patricia (James) Swinsinski of Wintersville, OH and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and her beloved cat Ranken. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Friday 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 p.m. and on Saturday at St. John Fisher Catholic Church from 9 a.m. until the time of Funeral Liturgy with mass celebrated at 10 a.m. with Fr. Jack McCoy as celebrant. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Vigil services 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
