Obituary For Beth Ann Bane

Beth Ann Bane, 61, died peacefully on the evening of June 29, 2024 surrounded by her family at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, Ohio.

Beth Ann was born June 28, 1963, in Steubenville. Beth Ann was beloved by many and was known for her infectious personality, wit, and incredible sense of humor. The majority of Beth Ann’s career was spent working side by side with her family at Forester Nursing Home in Wintersville. Beth Ann was a hard worker and built a reputation of excellent care and compassion for her patients.

Beth Ann loved nothing more than supporting her siblings and children in their athletic endeavors. Her support went beyond her own family. She cooked for and managed the concession stand, chaired fundraising committees, and was a head parent cheerleader for the Wintersville Bulldogs. Later on, she managed concessions and served as the Treasurer of the Wintersville Baseball Association.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents George and Edith Forester of Wintersville; Hugh and Elizabeth Hibbs of Wintersville; her father, Daun H. Forester of Wintersville from whom she learned her love of the outdoors; her mother, Nancy L. Townsend of Wintersville from whom she learned her sense of love, care, and support of others, and her son Patrick H. Medley of Wintersville.

She leaves behind her aunt Lois Kayafas of Beaver Falls, PA; step mother Renee Forester of Orrville; her brother Daun (Eleanore) Forester of Chester, NJ; her step sister Adessa (Bill) Dimarzio of Westerville; her step sister Arianna Elder of Avon; her sons Kevin Medley of Mingo Junction, and Jordan (Laura) Medley of Flanders, NJ; two nieces Caroline and Elise Forester; and three grandchildren Evelyn, Hunter and Callan Medley.

Private services will be held at a time and date to be determined.

The family would like to thank the many friends, care givers, nurses and doctors who have taken care of Beth Ann over the years.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Edith Forester Scholarship that aids students enrolling at Eastern Gateway Community College who are pursuing a career in the medical field.

I am so sorry for your families loss. I spent a good bit of time with Beth the last few years and she was always full of good stories about her kids growing up and the adventures she had.
