Bessie J. Jennings, 80 of Decatur, AL formerly of Wintersville, OH died Friday, January 4, 2002 at Cedar Springs, Decatur, AL. She was born in Pine Grove, WV on July 26, 1921 a daughter of the late James F. Howell and the late Millie A. Winland Howell Hickman. Preceeded in death by her husband Randall E. Jennings on November 20, 1995; one brother James G. Howell; three sisters Hazel White, Rosemary DeMattio and Hilda Evans; and her stepfather Charles Hickman. Bessie was a member of United Brethren In Christ Church, Steubenville, Ohio since 1945. She moved to Decatur three years ago. Surviving are her daughter Beverly (Charles) Walter of Somerville, AL; three granddaughters Barbara McConnell of Columbus, OH, Beth (Jerry) Decatrel of Atlanta, GA and Lori (Mike) Plemons of Decatur, AL; eight great grandchildren and one brother Dale E. Hickman of Scio, OH (Tappan Lake). Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, OH on Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
