Berna Wanda Kopras, 95, of Steubenville, Ohio passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Villa Royale.
She was born February 1, 1925 in Maryland, Wisconsin. She was the eldest daughter of the late Clair & Josephine Sauro Oliver. She retired from Ohio Bell in 1985 after 38 years of service. Berna was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church and preceded in death by her husband Albert W. Kopras in 1999; her fiancé Wilbert “Butch” Irwin in 2018; sisters Maxine Jeffers & Lydia Nichols; and nephews John Nichols & Gary Nichols.
Berna is survived by her nieces & nephews Judith (Ron) Swearingen of Kent, Ohio, Christine (Bob) Wood of Guthrie, OK; Kevin (Alexis) Jeffers of Santa Monica, CA; Michael (Heather) Jeffers of Beverly Hills, CA & Julia (Stuart) White of Durham, NC; as well as multiple grand nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at St. Peters Church, 425 N. Fourth Street, Steubenville on Thursday, December 10, 2020, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of funeral mass at 11 a.m. with Rev. Timothy Huffman officiating. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Flowers may be sent to the church.
Masks are absolutely required.
