Bennie V. Compston 89 of Wintersville, Ohio died Saturday, October 4, 2003 at Trinity West. He was born in Delaware, Ohio on February 5, 1914 a son of the late Benjamon and Iva Zimmerman Compston. Bennie was a member of First Christian Church, Steubenville and Steubenville Teamsters Union Local and retired from James White Construction, Weirton, WV. He was preceded in death by one son Kenneth Compston; one daughter Nelda Tridico; two brothers Don and Floyd and one sister Eileen Craven. Surviving are his wife Della Elizabeth Wells Compston; two daughters Marilyn (John) Crawford of Steubenville and Betty (John) Stoll of Wintersville; twelve grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren and one sister Vivian Mitchell of Tacoma, WA. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday with Rev. Curt Watkins officiating.
