Benjamin H. Turnbaugh, 88, of Steubenville, Ohio passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Trinity West. He was born on November 1, 1929 in Weirton, WV a son of the late Benjamin C. & Dolly N. McNurlin Turnbaugh. Benjamin was a member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, American Legion Argonne Post #33 where he served as a past commander and PAC. He retired from the Navy after 22 years of service with 12 years of active service and 10 years of reserve duty. Benjamin also retired from Pipefitters Local Union 490 which is now Local Union 495. Preceding Benjamin in death was his sister Jeanette Spradley. Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Clara E. Collins Turnbaugh, whom he married on August 2, 1950; children Cheryl (John) Osbourn of Bellvue, NE, Allen Turnbaugh of McDonald, OH and Victoria (Sherman) Bailey of Toronto, OH; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Friends may call at Dunlope – Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Monday 3 – 7 p.m. where a service will be held Tuesday 10 a.m. with Rev. Benjamin Wright officiating. Entombment at Fort Steuben. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 284 Lovers Lane, Steubenville, OH 43953
