On Thursday, April 21, 2022, Barbara Jean Clemens, loving wife and mother of three, passed away at the age of 88. She was a long-time resident of Mingo Junction, Ohio but lived in Hilliard, Ohio at the time of her passing.
Barbara was born on November 6, 1933 in Steubenville, Ohio to George and Ruth Wiseman. On January 1, 1955, she married Albert Clemens and together they raised three sons John, Bill and Craig.
Barbara was an active member of the Mingo First United Methodist Church. She also served as a Methodist lay speaker in the Ohio Valley District of the East Ohio Conference. Over the course of her lifetime, she worked in retail accounting, medical billing, and as a hospice receptionist. She was an avid music lover, a talented vocalist and known for her loyalty to her church, family and friends.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents George and Ruth, her sister Shirley, her brothers Sam and Jim, and her husband Albert. She is survived by her three children John (Edwina), Bill (Finnah) and Craig (Sheryl), her sister Eleanor, her brother-in-law Joe, several nephews, a niece and both grand and great grandchildren.
Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio 43953 on Monday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at 12:30 p.m. with Rev. Tom Thomas officiating. Burial at Oakland Cemetery.
