Barbara J. Young, 80, of Steubenville passed away on Monday, July 17, 2017. She was born in Steubenville on February 2, 1937 the daughter of the late James Harry and Jane LeVaughn Tennant Six. Barbara was a member of Finley United Methodist Church and Prime Time Senior Center. She had volunteered for 25 years at the Y.W.C.A. in Steubenville. In additioin to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Young, Jr. and her brother Norman Six. She is survived by her daughter Jeanne L. (Richard) Blackburn of Steubenville; granddaughters Tiffany Marie, Ashley Nicole and Brittany Michelle Blackburn. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8p.m., where funeral services will be held Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 12:30p.m. with Rev. Jerry Ernst officiating. Burial at Oakland Cemetery.
