Barbara J. Kuester Boring, 81, of Richmond, Ohio passed away Saturday, May 18, 2019 at her residence. She was born May 25, 1937 a daughter of the late Carl & Juanita Roe Kuester. She was a 1955 graduate of Jefferson Union High School and attended the College of Steubenville. Barb was a member of New Somerset Christian Church; Unionport Order of Eastern Star 360 (50 years) and co-owner of Kuester Implement with her husband. Barb loved to travel with her friends Linda and Rose, the group Journey with Joyce & Jim from Cadiz, county and state fairs, horse shows, watching her kids play sports, listening to Pirate baseball on the radio and attending college football games (Les at University of Maryland & Keith at US Naval Academy). She was a good baker and was noted for her chocolate chip cookies. She always had enough for everyone on the bus. Barb married her high school sweetheart, Gilbert F. “Gil” Boring, whom survives, and leaves behind five children, Les (Marian) Boring of Laurel, MD, Keith (Pam) Boring of Harrisburg, PA, Dave (Gloria) Boring & Dean (Julie) Boring both of Richmond, and Lori (Steve) Hafner of Sandusky; sister Carla Jo (Robert) Scott of Richmond; 13 grandchildren Brandon (Kelly) Boring, Halley (Chris) Kevan, Allison Boring, Brian (Bekah) Boring, Bryce Boring, Devina (Tyler) Raybuck, Teresa Boring, Robert (Erin) Boring, Kristin (Shane) Granitir, Bradley (Rebecca) Boring, Ryan Hafner, Kayla Hafner and Amanda Boring; 14 great grandchildren; cousins Ruth (Jim) Varney & Connie Roberts Humble; several nieces & nephews. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio on Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Rob Minto & Rev. Jason Elliott officiating. Burial at Osage Cemetery. Eastern Star services 3:45 p.m. Tuesday. The family would like to sincerely thank Valley Hospice for all their help and prayers, especially Tonnie, Pastor George and all those who helped Barb through her journey.
