Barbara J. Blackburn 72 of Wintersville, OH died Saturday, January 3, 2004 at Trinity East, Steubenville, OH. She was born in Steubenville on April 26, 1931 the daughter of the late H. Dean and Georgia Wigginton Brandt. Preceded in death by her husband Robert M. Blackburn, Jr. (1984) and son-in-law, Robert E. Layman Sr. Barbara was a homemaker and Methodist by faith and a avid bingo player. She is survived by a son, Robert B. (Marsha Walters) Blackburn and a daughter, Barbara Layman both of Wintersville. Two sisters, Janet (Al “sonny”) Haverfield of Steubenville and Carol Gourley of Columbus, OH. Five grandsons, Robert E. “B.J.” Layman Jr., Charles W. Layman, Michael R. L. Blackburn, Frederick L. Layman and Troy D. Layman. Eight great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. Rev.
