Barbara J. Bills, 90, of Wintersville passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Valley Hospice. She was born in Wintersville, OH on April 9, 1928 a daughter of the late Charlie and Irma Andrews Scott. Barbara was a member of Wintersville United Methodist Church and was a graduate of Wintersville High School Class of 1945 and The Ohio State University. She taught at Steubenville City Schools for 30 years, twenty years at Steubenville High School and ten years at Harding School as a physical education and health teacher. She was an avid golfer until she switched to quilting. She loved playing cards, doing crossword puzzles and reading. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Richard Lee Bills on April 30, 2005 and her sister and brother-in-law Bernadine and Robert McFarren. Barbara is survived by her daughter Marijo Bills (Fred) Young; grandchildren Richard Scott Young and Sarah Lee Young (James Robert) Houser; great grandchildren Madison and Marshal Houser; niece Connie Jean McFarren (Jerry) Stokes; great nephews Jim (Laura) Stokes and Bill Stokes; great great nephews Christopher and Andrew Stokes and many cousins. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Sunday, May 13, 2018 from 1p.m. until time of service at 4p.m. Burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: Wintersville United Methodist Church Elevator Fund.
