Obituary For Barbara A. Skidmore

Barbara A. Skidmore, 81, of Steubenville, Ohio passed away at The Laurels of Steubenville. She was born on September 27, 1940 the daughter of the late Bert and Kathryn Gossett Leonard. Barbara was a longtime employee of the Steubenville Credit Bureau.

Preceding Barbara in death were her husband Douglas M. Skidmore in 1966 and brother Charles P. Leonard in 2021.

Barbara is survived by her sister-in-law Darlene J. Leonard of Scottsdale, Arizona and many cousins.

Private services and burial at Union Cemetery.

    I will remember Barb fondly............she was an avid reader, I was the bookmobile driver who delivered her reading materials. We had many conversations about reading, books, authors etc. My family was at the nursing home while Barb was. I valued her friendship and am sorry that she is no longer with us.
