Obituary For Barbara A. Gegick

Barbara A. Gegick, 79, of Wintersville, Ohio, passed away on February 23, 2026, at her home. She was born on October 13, 1946, in Johnstown, PA, the daughter of the late Charles & Mary Parkinson Wise. Barbara was a homemaker who cherished taking care of her loving family.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Gegick, on October 15, 2007. She is survived by her children, Shawn (Jamie) Gegick & Heather (James) Richards; granddaughter Logan Gegick and brother Charles “Dick” (Mary Jane) Wise.

In accordance with Barbara’s wishes, there will be no services.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation in Barbara’s honor to the charity of your choice.

    My deepest sympathy go out to the gegick family. I met Barbara when I started working the pierogi project at Blessed sacrament Church. We became best friends. We did everything together we would go to lunch. We would go to dinner shopping. Her favorite store was Boscov's. She would call me on the phone and say do you want to go to Dairy Queen and get a peanut Buster parfait. I am really going to miss her. Maybe when I get to To Heaven we may be able to find a Dairy Queen and go and have our peanut Buster parfait. Rest in peace, my friend. Best friends forever.
