Thank you for being a friend, as well as a boss, to my Granny (Margaret Thompson). I know she enjoyed both aspects of her relationship with you.

To the Brown family, I am so sorry for the loss of your sweet Avis. I knew her for all of my life. She was friends and fellow anesthetist with my aunt Shirley Peterschmidt. As a little girl I would go to Avis and Mac's house with my aunt  to hang around while they played cards and talked about what was going on at the hospital. They were all so inspirational and fun. I consider her one of my role models. I went into nursing too and about 18 months ago, when I went back to get my BSN, Avis let me interview her for a paper I was writing. We had so much fun reminiscing and laughing, and I got an "A" on that paper, what an awesome woman. I will miss her! Take care.Ginny Whitham Smith
