August A. “Augie” Pinti 90 of Steubenville, Ohio died Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at Mary Ann Manor, Follansbee, WV. He was born in Steubenville on June 25, 1914 son of the late Charles and Santarella Epifano Pinti. Augie was a retired car inspector for Penn. RR and Conrail. Preceding Augie in death were four brothers Richard, Tony, James and Charles Pinti and three sisters Liz Marchione, Mary Colesante and Grace Balderoni. Surviving are his wife Shirley L. Scharfenberg Pinti; daughter Christine Pinti Mancano and her husband Francis of Follansbee; and brother Ernest Pinti of San Antonio, Texas. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Thursday 7-9 p.m. and Friday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.; where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Edmondo Stabene officiating. Entombment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
