Obituary For Arthur T. "Bill" Kunkle

Arthur T. “Bill” Kunkle, 87, of Steubenville, Ohio died Friday, June 4, 2010 at Trinity West.  He was born July 12, 1922 in Steubenville, Ohio a son of the late Arthur T. and Emma Alvernia Dailey Kunkle, Sr.  Bill was a member of Bell Chapel United Methodist Church and United Methodist Men’s Group.  He was a member of Pilgrim Masonic Lodge #691, Steubenville Shrine Club and A.A.S.R. Valley of Steubenville.  He was a graduate of Steubenville High School and an avid Big Red fan.  He was a carpenter for the Bank Building Corporation and the Carpenters Union for many years.  Bill was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.  Preceding Bill in death were his sister Marilyn Sue Kunkle and brother Carl Wayne Kunkle.  Surviving are his wife M. Ruth Kunkle; son Carl W. (Gay A. Harrington) Kunkle of Ben Avon, PA; two granddaughters Allison K. and Katherine Ruth Kunkle of Ben Avon, PA; brother Raymond L. (Nancy) Kunkle of San Clemente, CA; sister Shirley Barnett of Steubenville, OH and many nieces and nephews.  Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Sunday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. and on Monday at Bell Chapel United Methodist Church from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m. with Rev. Jeff Proya officiating.  Burial at Fort Steuben Burial Estates.  Memorials contributions may be directed to Bell Chapel United Methodist Church or Steubenville Shrine Club.  Masonic service will be Sunday at 7:30 p.m.

He was such a great guy and I have so many wonderful memories of your family and all the great times at your house (especially hanging out on your porch and many fun picnics).
