Arthur P. Simpson, Jr., 84, of Wintersville passed away on April 17, 2023. He was born in Steubenville on September 27, 1938 a son of the late Arthur P. and Elizabeth Issac Simpson, Sr. In addition to his parents, Arthur was preceded in death by his sister Betti McElroy and brother William Simpson. He retired from Weirton Steel as a master carpenter and was a proud veteran of the Marine Corps; a true Marine by heart. He was most happy playing his harmonica and guitar and being around his family.
Arthur is survived by his son Adam (Lenore) Simpson of Richmond, OH and his daughter Conni Hilston of Aurora, OH; brother Melvyn (Pat) Simpson; grandchildren Nicole Buerger, Brittany Simpson, Sidney Hilston and Owen Hilston; great grandchildren Adam, Bailey and Austin Buerger.
Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Monday from 4-6 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at
10a.m. Burial at Fort Steuben Burial Estates. Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad will conduct graveside services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to U.P.M.C Cancer Center.

I didn't have the honor to meet Mr. Simpson, but I met one part of him: his daughter Conni and for that I'm thankful. I'm sorry for the loss of the family.

As a young child I always thought he was the coolest man alive. He had that Orange sports car , I believe a 260 Z . Couldn't be a cooler man in my eyes. Such a nice man that made you feel great ! Coolest greatest uncle award goes to you Uncle Art. Rest high on that hill! God bless! Dave
