Obituary For Armand L. Lanciault

Armand L. Lanciault, 94, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at his home. He was born February 12, 1924 in Fall River, MA a son of the late Arthur & Roseanna Benoit Lanciault. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church; American Legion Argonne Post 33; V.F.W. and WWII Museum, New Orleans, LA. Armand graduated from Durfee High School in Fall River, worked in textile mills in Fall River and retired from the U.S. Postal System. An Army Air Corps. veteran of WWII, Armand was a Staff Sergeant stationed in Seething, England and a member of the 713th Squadron of the 448th Bombardment Group and flew 28 missions.

Armand was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Hrancho Lanciault; daughter Cynthia Lanciault; brother Alfred; and sisters Rita Banville & Alma LaVoie. Armand was an avid reader and stamp collector and loved gardening.

Armand is survived by his children Judy (Dr. Clyde) Metzger of Steubenville, Rita (Stephen) Baldwin of Granville, OH, Bob (Donna) Lanciault of Holliston, MA & Rick (Mary) Lanciault of Columbus, GA; five grandchildren Chris & Mike Baldwin, Patrick & Kaitlin Lanciault and Tara Hutto; two great grandchildren Tinsley & Daniel Hutto; and special Goddaughter Geraldine Corey.

Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio on Friday 4-7 p.m. Funeral liturgy with mass 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Blessed Sacrament with Msgr. Kurt Kemo officiating. Entombment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to Wounded Warriors or WWII Museum.
